WOOD WICK CANDLE CARE

Handcrafted Tallow + Beeswax Candles

1. TRIM YOUR WICK

Before each burn, trim your wood wick to approximately ⅛ inch. Gently remove any blackened or charred wood from the previous burn. A short, clean wick helps your candle burn evenly.

2. LET IT MELT

On your first burn, we recommend allowing your candle to burn for 2-4 hours. This allows the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of your candle.

3. KEEP IT CLEAN

Keep your candle free of wick trimmings, matches, and other debris. Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts.

4. DON'T BURN TOO LONG

Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to cool and fully harden before relighting.

5. WOOD WICKS NEED A LITTLE LOVE

Wood wicks burn differently than traditional cotton wicks! If your flame is too small or keeps going out, allow the candle to cool completely, then gently remove the charred wood before relighting.

6. KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE

Stop burning your candle when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container. Never burn a candle all the way down.

7. SAFETY FIRST

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Always extinguish the candle before leaving the room or going to sleep.
